Seldom Records's fourth birthday at The Luminaire was a grand success. Early arrivals were greeted by Chippy's eclectic but unusually accessible mixtape, till OKJunior got the party started with a rip-roaring set of their new material mixed in with some old favourites. Their new EP is out early next year and like the best things in life they seem to get better and better...keep an ear to the ground.
Sleeping States provided a typically off-kilter and seamless set of their intriguing and dynamic work, which kept the crowd entertained before funk-folk-hop one-man band Joe Driscoll completed the live sets! Pouring heavy chunks of folk and beats through microphones Joe got the crowd into a dancing mood with his unmistakable layered sound. Check out our news section for a link to one of the tracks he played.
The party continued with Rich Greentree spinning some laid back old-skool tunes for a short while before The Nextmen ensured the evening finished with style by playing a fantastically well-received set of party hip-hop.
As ever, thanks to all of you who came and enjoyed the fun. We truly would not be here without you!
